Solar Decathlon 2007

For its 2007 Solar Decathlon entry, Lawrence Technological University is using Arbor Insulation's open-cell spray foam as part of its home. Insulation is an important component of building energy efficient homes, and Arbor Insulation is proud to be a supplier to this project.

The AloeTerra project home is built with energy efficient structural insulated panels (SIP's). The Lawrence Tech team needed additional energy efficient insulation to fill in the areas of the home that is not made with the SIP's. The combination of the SIP's and the open-cell spray foam installed by Arbor Insualtion will make the home well insulated, which will enable the home's heating/cooling system to use less energy. The energy efficiency of the home is one of the judging criteria for the competition. We wish the Aloe Terra team from Lawrence Tech all the best with the entry.
